Who is responsible for your data
Luso Kitchen is a fresh Portuguese food delivery service, run by Delipo, a family catering business based in Orvin, in the canton of Bern. For any question about this policy or your data, use the contact form on the site. We reply within a few days.
What data we collect
Depending on what you do on the site, we collect the following information:
- Customer account: name, address, phone number, email.
- Orders and deliveries: the dishes you order and your purchase history.
- Payment: card details, processed by Stripe (see below).
- Contact form: the message you send us.
We collect nothing else. Your date of birth, your job, your nationality or your opinions are of no interest to us.
Cookies
We only use the cookies the Luso Kitchen shop needs in order to work. They keep your session open, hold your cart, read your customer account and remember your language choice.
That’s all. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking. Since we only set cookies that are strictly necessary, you don’t see a consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.
Visit statistics
We measure site traffic with a tool we host ourselves, on our own infrastructure at Infomaniak in Switzerland. The data is anonymised and aggregated. We see how many people stopped by, which pages they looked at, where they came from. Identifying an individual visitor is impossible.
Why bother? To know which dishes attract interest, which link brought a visitor here, and to improve our offer. No individual tracking, no profiling, no targeted ads. This data stays in Switzerland.
Payment via Stripe
Payment is handled by Stripe. There is one single case where data leaves Switzerland or Europe: Stripe may transfer it to the United States, in particular to fight fraud. Everything else stays here.
We never see your full card number. We only access the card type, the last four digits and the expiry date.
Who we share your data with
Almost no one. Those with access to your data:
- Our Luso Kitchen / Delipo team.
- Our host Infomaniak, in Switzerland.
- Stripe, for payment.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep your data
As long as your account is active, we keep your account data. Order-related documents are kept in line with Swiss legal obligations, which means 10 years for commercial records. Messages received via the contact form are deleted once dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
The Swiss data protection act (nLPD) gives you the right to:
- Access your data.
- Ask for it to be corrected.
- Ask for it to be deleted.
- Object to certain types of processing.
To exercise these rights, write to us via the contact form on the site.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change over time. The version published on the site is the authoritative one. The date at the top shows the latest update. If a substantial change happens, we update the text right here. If the language versions differ, the French version prevails.
